Ron has spent his career building relationships across Dallas and beyond, connecting executives, entrepreneurs and professional service leaders who have a reason to know one another. BB+T was built around a simple observation: growth gets easier when the right people are in the room.
Ron serves on the sponsorship committee for ACG Dallas/Fort Worth, the same middle-market executive ecosystem BB+T is built to serve.
Ron's journey began long before BB+T. At 12, he was closing a Taco Bell at 1 a.m., scrubbing nacho cheese vats and learning from his father's franchise operation. By 16, he was managing P&L and hiring people twice his age. His father taught him to "put your aces in their places," a lesson that became his business superpower. His mother and grandfather taught him something equally valuable: at nine years old, he was required to interact with auto industry executives at his parents' dinner parties, learning that real business happens through authentic connection, not cold calls.
"I've always found that to be the way to build business: be interested in people first and then they'll be interested in you." Ron Bruno
With a background in sales and 16 years in personal finance, Ron founded BB+T Consulting in 2023 when a mortgage crisis forced him to practice what he'd been preaching. He sent 60 LinkedIn messages asking for advice, not jobs. Within 15 days, he had 30 meetings and 10 real opportunities. The principle worked: if you ask for advice, you'll get a job.
Under his leadership, BB+T has helped technology, professional services and real estate companies grow through strategic introductions, referral partnerships and relationship-driven experiences. One law firm client became an equity partner through Ron's guidance. The company operates on a philosophy Ron calls "network equity": making five high-impact calls for five appointments rather than 500 dials for the same result.
"I'm not a killer salesperson, quota-driven, do whatever it takes. I'm a relationship-driven integrator building businesses within a community for the long term." Ron Bruno
Ron continues to lead with a clear purpose: making business more humane, sustainable, and genuinely enjoyable. In a world dominated by automation and transactional sales tactics, he's building a movement that proves the most sustainable path to success runs through relationships. Every interaction is what a colleague once called "a micro injection of positive, happy, fun, entertaining, life-affirming vibe."
Ron and his wife Karen live in Dallas, where they continue the family tradition of building business through hospitality and authentic connection, just as his grandparents did generations before.
